There have been big changes in the way that Idaho provides public defense services this year.  Most importantly, all public defense services shall be provided by a centralized State agency called the Idaho State Public Defender.  As of October 1, the State Public Defender will take over all duties for providing attorneys for people appointed a public defender.

 

Sadly, for our office, this means that we will no longer have the privilege of providing indigent defense services for public defense clients after October 1st.  The State Public Defender is in the process of determining who the assigned attorneys will be after that date.  Our office will continue to handle public defense matters until that date, so please contact us if you have any questions about this process or what it means for your case.
